Something went wrong loading the editor. Try a hard refresh (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+R). If that doesn't help, open the browser console, run localStorage.removeItem('meshGradientState.v1'), then reload.

mmeshy (mmeshy.com) is a free mesh gradient editor. This page explains what information it handles. The short version: you can use the editor without an account, there are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we never sell your data.

Using the editor without an account

Your work in progress and your preferences (theme, panel layout, display name and the like) are kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device. They aren't sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and works only through Google. When you sign in we receive, through Google:

  • your email address and a unique account ID, and
  • your name from your Google profile, used to pre-fill the display name you can choose to credit gradients with.

We never see your Google password.

What we store for your account

  • Saved gradients: each gradient's settings and a small preview image. These are private and visible only to you.
  • Published gradients: if you choose to publish a gradient to the community, it becomes public. Anyone can see it, open it and share it, along with the display name and optional X (Twitter) handle you set. A preview image used for link previews is also stored publicly.
  • Likes: which published gradients you've liked, tied to your account.

Don't put anything in a display name or handle that you don't want public.

Who handles the data

The site uses these services to work. We don't share your data with anyone else.

  • Supabase stores accounts and gradients. Our project is hosted in Canada (Central).
  • Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host, it may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and operation.
  • Google provides sign-in, and Google Fonts delivers the typefaces, which means your browser contacts Google when the page loads.
  • esm.sh delivers a code library the site needs for sign-in.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you're signed in, your browser's local storage keeps your session so you stay signed in, and it also remembers your preferences.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account yourself in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and every gradient you saved or published, and anyone with a share link to one of your published gradients loses access. You can also unpublish or delete individual gradients at any time. If you need help, email us at the address below.

Children

mmeshy isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
